Schaller Bow-Wow Yoy-Yoy
Very cool late-60s wah-wah pedal for sale in very good condition, serviced and in good working order. This is the first version of the pedal.
The Schaller Bow-wow Yoy-yoy... possibly one of the greatest wah-wah pedals of all time. Certainly one of the greatest names for a pedal ever. High quality German design and build.
What does it do? When set in the bow-wow mode, the pedal has a thick creamy wah-wah with a huge range. The yoy-yoy mode is... wild – well worth tracking down a youtube demo rather than us failing to properly describe it here.
To quote from Tom Hughes in Analogman's Guide to Vintage Effects:
"The most famous of these was the Schaller Bow-Wow Yoy-Yoy, a dual-inductor wah; a switch on the pedal allowed the user to toggle between a more traditional way sound (bow-wow) and a thin, phaser-like sound (yoy-yoy)."
Works as a volume pedal when the wah is not engaged.
CONDITION: A heavy chunk of metal in very good cosmetic condition (especially given its age). There are scuffs and dings scattered across the unit but overall it is very clean. See photos for more information on cosmetic condition.
