Yamaha Tenori-On

Yamaha Tenori-On

Yamaha Tenori-On boxed and in excellent condition with all accessories/papers etc.

With box and MIDI adaptor and papers, CD-ROM and AC adaptor (240V)

Released in 2007, the Tenori-on never quite found the mainstream audience it deserved, which is a shame, because in the right hands it's magical. Sixteen voices, real-time looping, a built-in speaker, and a playing style that's more like painting with sound than anything you'd call conventional sequencing.

At its heart, the Tenori-On is a 16x16 grid of illuminated buttons; you press them to trigger notes, and watch your music light up in real time as it plays back. There are six different performance modes, each offering a different way to build and shape sound: some let you draw looping patterns, others let you layer sounds freely or play it more like a traditional instrument. You can run multiple modes simultaneously across different layers, so things can get wonderfully complex without ever feeling like hard work.
